In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), is a method of help reproduction in which a male sperm and the female egg are combined in a laboratory dish, where fertilization occurs. The resulting embryo or embryos is/are then transferred to the female womb (uterus) to implant and improve naturally.
IVF could be used to treat infertility in the following patients:
1). Blocked or damaged fallopian tubes.
2). Male factor infertility including decreased sperm count or sperm motility.
3). Women with ovulation disorders, premature ovarian failure, uterine fibroids.
4). Women who have had their fallopian tubes removed.
5). Individuals with a genetic disorder
6). Unexplained infertility
Occasionally, IVF is offered as a principal treatment for infertility in female over age 40. IVF could also be done if you have certain health conditions. For example, IVF could be a choice if you or your partner has:
1). Fallopian tube damage or blockage
2). Ovulation disorders
3). Premature ovarian failure
5). Uterine fibroids
6). Previous tubal sterilization or removal
7). Impaired sperm production or function
8). Unexplained infertility
9). A genetic disorder
10). Fertility preservation for cancer or other health conditions
After you have finished the whole of your screening, an individualized treatment plan will be developed. You will follow your plan until pregnancy is achieved. Since every patient is different, every treatment plan will be different.

1). Initiation of oral contraceptive pills
2). Baseline ultrasound
3). Ovarian stimulation and monitoring
4). Final maturation HCG (trigger shot) and oocyte retrieval
6). Embryo transfer (3, 5, or 6 days after retrieval)
7). Pregnancy test (10-12 days after transfer)
8). Early OB ultrasound (6 1/2 weeks gestation)
